NSW Government passes regulation to allow video conferencing to witness legal documents
As a measure to minimise the impacts of COVID-19 on life and business, the NSW Government ushered in measures to help. In late-April, regulations passed in NSW to allow video conferencing technology — like Zoom, Skype and WhatsApp — to witness various legal documents.
The new regulation applies to wills, deeds, affidavits, statutory declarations, powers of attorney and guardianship appointments.
